About Me
Hello! My name is Michaela and I am currently a sophomore at Florida State University. I am majoring in special education. I hope that with this degree I will be able to influence the lives of special education students who need a supportive and patient hand to guide them through their educational journey. In my free time I enjoy reading and watching television or hanging out with my friends and family.
I have used technology in an educational setting since sixth grade. I have made countless powerpoints; written more essays on Microsoft Word than I could possibly count. I also had to learn how to use Microsoft Excel in my computer class in sixth grade. However, my experience with educational technology pretty much stops there. I have never really needed to use anything other than Microsoft when it comes to school.
Throughout this class this semester, I hope to learn how to use other aspects of educational technology aside from Microsoft. In all honesty, I am taking this course because it is a requirement. However, I hope that in taking it, I will become more proficient with commuters. Hopefully, I will be a more technological efficient teacher one day because of it.

Welecome to EME2040! It's totally okay to be honest about why you're taking the course :) We'll definitely be covering way more than Microsoft this semester. Hopefully, you'll identify some tools to use with your future students!
